Loss Control Consultant
Visit clients to review loss performance and internal procedures regarding
Assess driver hiring, training and monitoring and vehicle maintenance
Visits will be focused primarily on larger clients (>100 vehicles and/or >$250,000 premium).
Make recommendations for improvement of client performance and safety efforts.
Assess utilization of available technology; cameras, telematics, and accident avoidance
Participate in client driver safety meetings.
Report on findings of client visits to assist in underwriting process.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and our agency partners.
Review client loss runs and report trends to the underwriter.
Prepare training material and safety informational to provide to clients and agency partners.
Provide input regarding underwriting guidelines and procedures.
Assist with identifying clients to be surveyed by third party vendors.
Assist clients, as well as internal staff, with review of telematics data
Identify unsafe driving behaviors in need of corrective action.
Assist in training and providing guidance to new hires.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
ARM designation preferred.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in P&C, loss control, underwriting or claims capacity.
Strong communication skills.
Solid knowledge of underwriting/claims principles and theory.
Experience with insurance rating and policy issuance software.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
